Kala U-Bass SMHG-FS.
What an amazing instrument this is – I know from personal experience. Its size is similar to a baritone, however, it is tuned as per a standard 4 string bass guitar – E A D G – and if you weren’t looking when it was played, you could easily mistake it for an electric or upright bass. It's no toy - Bakithi Kumalo, bass player for Paul Simon, uses one onstage.
It comes with standard Pahoehoe polyurethane strings which provide a mellow tone and you can replace them with wound string for more attack. 

The Shadow preamp unit includes volume, tone and tuner. 
It is constructed with a solid spruce top, mahogany sides, back and neck and rosewood fingerboard and comes with a hard case.
